The Baker Family Easter egg hunt 2011

Here in the Philippines they do not celebrate Easter the way we do in the U/S. The Easter eggs and the Easter egg hunt are both very novel to our friends and family here.

We started out coloring eggs with the kids. None of the kids or the parents had ever seen this before. We had lots of fun and every kid got to color his/her own egg.

We celebrated Tim & Dotties birthdays. We thanked GOD for the bounty of food and friends/family we had surrounding us that day.

The parents and kids had never seen an egg hunt. They could not get over the idea that they could keep the eggs. Or why someone would take the time to put things inside the eggs and then give them away.
Of course we told the story of Jesus Christ, His death on the cross, His resurrection and His return to heaven to sit at GOD's right hand. What a great day we had.

We won't soon forget our Easter 2011 with Tim and Dottie, here in the Philippines.
A day at Talikud Island with my Cousin Tim $ Dottie from the USA. The boat trip out took about 40 minutes.

We took Annie's Papa's boats (fishing boats) to Babu Santa beach resort on Talikud Island. We took two boat loads of people, food and snorkeling gear and spent the day at the beach.

Dottie found a star fish

We spent most of the day snorkeling and swimming.

Watch your step! Spines galore!

We searched the beaches for seashells, ate a great meal and headed back out for an Island tour around Talikud.

We stopped at the Corral Gardens and snorkeled awhile. The boat trip took about 1 1/2 hours and we sure had fun.

We finished the day with another big meal of Shrimp, Fish, Chicken and salads. The food was great!

All-in-all, a great way to see Davao Bay and Talikud Island.
